It can be reached from a branched road of Jiyeh at Barja’s western entrance. Its name is derived from the olive presses for olive oils. Baasir hills is located on the western territory to overlook Jiyyeh beach and saadiet as it competes with the other hills with respect to the height.It rises 375 m from the sea level and is 32 km away from Beirut city.

The region is characterized by the ancient architectural houses in addition to the spread of caves at its northen side.
